Dubono is a fictional company that would allow smartphone users to "order" a spy or a private eye, similar to calling an Uber, normalizing espionage.

I was tasked with using a singular word to inspire the creation of a graphic element that would serve as a logo or mark for a fictional company. The word selected for this example, in particular, was “Spy”. Researching operative words that related to the desired tone of the company led to the creation of several sketches as well as various digital iterations. Examples of words that assisted in the abstraction and creation process included “hidden”, “surveillance”, and “shady”.

As for the color choice, a powerful red and black were chosen in order to convey a feeling of dread, as if you were being watched like the figure in the logo. Once the composition was refined to satisfaction, packaging products and mockups were also created in order to explore the logo’s application. The company’s name was created from the two words “Dubious”, referring to suspicion or untrustworthiness, and “Mono”, referring to one or singular.
